Mid morning the children have the opportunity to use the snack bar for a drink and
food; there will be a choice of fruit, salad or healthy nibbles. Our cook provides
a healthy freshly cooked lunch for the children and staff. A light tea will be provided
for children who are staying until 6-
The children will have the opportunity to experience festival and celebration foods from around the world.
Avenue Nursery School is well established our history goes back to 1974. Our trained

We have an excellent Ofsted report. Our educational plan follows the EYFS principles, A unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, Learning and Development. We include festival celebrations from around the world. Each child has a key person for individual support and learning.
Our school has a close liaison with the local Infant Schools; visits are arranged throughout the year. We also make use of the environment around us with regular outings. We invite specialized people to visit the children such as the orthodontist, African story man and the local fire fighters etc.

Parents are asked to provide a change of clothes and nappies for their children.
We have a school uniform which is worn by children and staff. It is practical and fun to wear.
We have recently opened a Toddler Unit , adjoining the nursery room. This unit is a further option for parent/carers who only wish to have, half day placements.
